"Poor Quality, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! SCAM"
SCAM! I ordered items that took over 8 weeks to arrive, horrible looking, poor quality, dry twigs, the worst. Recorded messages as communicationandrepeat emails. Stay away! Stick with reputable sites!

"Do not buy from them!"
I have ordered a few wigs from them & while none were exactly like the picture, they were close enough or I at least felt I could roll with it, UNTIL this last one in early April 2023. I order a wig color name Silver Mist, and while the only showed a small bottom half of the wig in Silver Mist, the full picture of the wig was in a brown color & the style was very cute. The Silver Mist Wig arrived, I lifted the top off the box and stopped right there, the entire top half of the wig was the blackest black I have ever seen and it gradually faded into the silver mist on the bottom half. I called them immediately. No matter how I showed them this was THEIR error to have not listed the black portion of the wig they refused to not charging me and outrageous "RESTOCKING FEE". I paid a lot of $$ for the wig, there was no way I was keeping it, but I will NEVER buy another wig from them again. Do not trust the colors nor the pictures of the wigs

"Frustrated to point of angry"
Daughter and I are both new to wigs. I ordered accessories for both of us, to make our first trip out in our new styles. There was an attempt to deliver yesterday (Friday), but couldn't complete because Paula Young shipping didn't ship to my complete address. The shipment was returned to PY, now we're not able to enjoy our day out the way we'd planned, on Monday.
To top it all off, while waiting for my delivery, I called one of the "consultants" to ask about wigs with little or no permatease. He had no clue what I was talking about. I was referred to the catalog that I'd already gone thru, with no luck.
Then, when asked a question about something else, his response was word for word taken from the same catalog I was looking at.
I'm very angry, probably won't deal with Paula Young again.
If I could give no stars, I would.

"They rip of people - That's how they make money."
I bought bangs for $19.99. They charged me $1.95 for "delivery surcharge". It didn't mention anything about this when I placed the order. $8.99 for shipping and $2.18 for taxes. Basically the $19.99 item cost me $33.11. It was very poorly made so when I got it 2 weeks later I immediately returned it. They charge me $9.99 for the return shipping label. So this item cost me $43.10. They refunded me only $10.59!!! When I contacted them to see why they didn't at least refund me the taxes they collected from me (an additional $1.59) they kept saying they have a new policy that they charge that amount for returned items. I said no where in the catalog or on their website indicates this. They kept saying it's a NEW policy! I reported them to the BBB. They rip of people. That's how they make money.

"I was sent wrong item and to return and customer service TERRIBLE"
I have bought their wigs before but the quality of wigs has gone down hill. I was on phone 2hrs today. Was sent wrong item but because on sale I can't get refund although it was their error. I will never shop at Paula Young again. I again say service is the worst! Do not buy Turban with long wavy hair!

"Five Stars!"
I checked Trust Pilot AFTER I placed my order @ Paula Young and was worried I'd have the same experience as previous reviewers. I'm happy to say I've had excellent service from this company. I live in Canada and placed my order on 16th March and the package arrived in less than 2 weeks, which was earlier than I expected. I also emailed them for an expected arrival date and had a reply within 24 hours, so no complaints from me!
I ordered a Topper and it’s gorgeous. Very happy with it.

"New Breezy Wig by J Smith"
Breezy by J Smith is a nice quality but is nowhere near the style that is pictured. Totally different. I was so disappointed. Still a loyal customer, it's a struggle to find simple wavy style, middle part, bangs...and as soon as I find a style I can live with, they quit selling it.

"Very dissatisfied!"
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY. I will give them ZERO stars. I am furious. I ordered a wig that was beautiful in the ad. What I received was a wig that was so BARE on the crown area you could actually see the netting. There was NO WAY I could wear this wig. I wrote a letter asking for a full refund including postage, handling and the surcharge. My letter explained why I thought I deserved a FULL refund. When my refund credit came through, I was not even refunded the cost of the wig and shampoo (which I never opened because I couldn't wear the "defective" wig). I ended up having to pay $29.17 for something that should never have been sent to me because it was DEFECTIVE. PLEASE...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS FRAUDULANT COMPANY!

Awful in every way! Super nice when they take your credit card order. If returned anything they give you a small credit because they charge you for everything!! Terrible business policies and horrible customer service. Do yourself a favor DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!

"They just lost a good customer"
I just happened to notice a monthly charge taken directly out of my checking account to Paula Young. This has been going on for months, now that I've searched and found it. After talking to their call center, I was told that it's a "membership fee" that I never signed up for. What slimy business practices. I've bought their wigs since having chemo 12 years ago. Never again. They've lost a good customer.

"Products were ok for price but beware…Beware of pricey returns"
Products were ok for price but beware of returns. It ended up costing me over $32 to return a $93 order.
Way too much and I will not be shopping with them again. Go somewhere that you can see if the product is going to work for you and pay extra for the convenience.

"Beware of extra charges after the sale"
The wigs are fine, but you really need to be careful as customer service is awful and returns are difficult if you are in Canada. And check your charges!
I paid with Paypal and a few days later an extra charge (of almost $24US) was added. I called to ask why. They said that they charge more for shipping to Canada, however, the shipping method was clearly Canadian shipping and the charge was to be $7 (a savings of $16.99 because of the Paula Young coupon applied, which the system accepted.) The representative said the charges I agreed to were estimates, but there is no indication of estimate on the final invoice or on the initial checkout webpage (just on the cart page before you put in an address). When I said there was no indication of estimate on the invoice I was viewing, she said I was lying and hung up on me! I was upset, but not yelling or rude. I put in a dispute through Paypal and the extra charge was reversed. This is not a one off as I re-did it and saw that once again the system accepts a “free shipping” code to reduce the shipping charge (although still extra for Canada), but then they put in an extra charge later with no explanation or consent. Also, I checked a previous purchase and found they had done it before but I missed it.

"I ordered two wigs at the same time and…"
I ordered two wigs at the same time and paid through PayPal. They only shipped one, and then when I called almost three weeks later to inquire about the other, they told me the customer had cancelled it. When I questioned her she said PayPal had not authorized the purchase amount. Strange because PayPal is still showing the ORIGINAL purchase price for BOTH wigs. Shipping was slow on the one I actually received, and communication was nonexistent on the one they cancelled. I’ll be ordering elsewhere.

"Hair Topper for my elderly mom"
DO NOT BUY FORM PAULA YOUNG!
My mom is elderly and is very self-conscious and embarrassed about her hair loss. She also cannot get out much and does not drive anymore, there are not many wigs' shops around, so I decided to order from Paula Young. I was told that we could try the wig on and return it. How do you buy a wig if you cannot try them on and see what you are comfortable and what looks good on you in when you have no hair. I was told that I would pay $9.95 to return it for shipping. So, if we ordered 3 wigs it would cost $30 just to return them all. Ridiculous! My mom is on a fixed income, and we ordered one wig, and it had no clips in the front to keep it on her head and it kept popping off.

I called to complin that it had no clips and to return it. Paula Young kept $24.19 of my mom's money, and she still had no wig to cover her head. My mom paid over $56 for the wig. I guess that is a way to make money from people, have them buy your product, don't give them a credit or a full refund. So now she is out $24 to buy another wig and has no wig at all. Be careful if you buy, if you do not like it, they will charge you a lot to take it back. Also, DO NOT CUT The TAGS OUT, they will not take it back then either. We did not cut out the tags and still got charged $24 to send it back and the lady on the phone never told us it would be that much to return it; she just said it was going to be $9.95 for shipping so they lied too. Really sad to take advantage of people who are already suffering.
